Hub City Farmers Market is now part of PAL

Together, we’re growing something powerful: a stronger local food system that supports farmers, improves food access, and brings people together around what’s grown right here in Spartanburg County.

SNAP

We Take SNAP

Today, only a little more than 60% of farmers markets across the country accept SNAP. At PAL and Hub City Farmers Market, we are dedicated to increasing a SNAP using family’s food-buying power.

In 2025, $51,118 were spent with local farmers and vendors at the Hub City Farmers' Market through our Double SNAP Program. That means over $50K of healthy, local food reached the tables of low-income families in our community.

Thank you to The United Way of Peidmont for supporting our Double SNAP program!

  • What's SNAP?

SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as “Food Stamps.” As a federal nutrition program, it allows members to stretch their food budget and provide easier access healthy food.

  • SNAP Redemption at HCFM

We accept SNAP and EBT at our Saturday and Winter Markets. Money is in the form of tokens that do not expire.

  • Do you double SNAP?

Once signed up for SNAP, you can double up to $40 each Saturday, and we’ll give you an extra $15 for fruits and vegetables! That's $95 to spend on delicious foods for your family.
