Grab your bike and join PAL for Guide & Ride, the next adventure in our Do the DAN series!
Our guide, Liv Hawkins - aka The Walking Spartan - will kick things off with a conversation about bike safety and etiquette, from sharing our trails and navigating roads to the basic rules every rider should know. We’ll also talk about the potential for biking beyond recreation and exercise; as a way to get around, connect our community, and experience Spartanburg a little differently.
Then, we ride! We’ll head out together for an easy 4.3-mile ride, putting those practices into action and modeling safe, courteous riding on both trails and roads.
Guide & Ride is open to all ages and abilities. It’s a great opportunity for newer riders to build confidence, kids and teens to learn the basics of safe riding, and experienced cyclists, bike commuters, urbanists, and anyone interested in a more bike-friendly Spartanburg to get out and connect with one another.
Afterward, we’ll return to Cyclops Cidery, where everyone is invited to hang out, grab a drink, and connect with fellow riders and community members.
Parking at Cyclops is limited and will fill quickly. Alternate parking is available along Old Glendale Rd. at the Subaru of Spartanburg Bike Park.
Whether you ride everywhere, haven’t taken your bike out in years, or just want to meet more people who believe bikes belong in our community, come out and Do the DAN !
