Duncan Park Information Session

PAL: Play. Advocate. Live Well. announces a public information session on the plan and schedule of trail improvements at Duncan Park. Members of the community are encouraged to attend on September 9th at the C.C. Woodson Community Center (210 Bomar Avenue, Spartanburg, SC  29306) beginning at 5:30pm. Plan highlights include:

• Surfacing the existing gravel trail which hugs the tree line behind Veteran’s Point Memorial Park;
• Installing a boardwalk off North Park Drive which will allow pedestrians and cyclists to avoid the Rivermont Drive intersection;
• Adding two (2) three-way stop signs at the intersection of Parkview Drive, Carolyn Drive, and West Park Drive, as well as the South Park Drive and Parkview Drive intersection; and,
• Expanding offroad sections of the trail, extending the perimeter of the Duncan Park Lake trail.
